Equity accepts students who meet its academic and conduct requirements, regardless of race, religion or national origin. Admissions are personal — and they begin with a visit.
How to apply
Three steps. The first takes one minute.

Visit the school
Request a visit — it takes about a minute. The admissions office contacts you within one school day to set a time. You tour the campus in session and meet the principals, and we walk you through the program, tuition and fees. Abroad? We can meet by video call first.

Apply online
Complete the online application — about fifteen minutes, in English or Spanish, with no documents to attach and nothing to print. You can apply before or after your visit, and you receive a confirmation and a reference number by email.

Assessment and decision
Most applicants take an admissions assessment to confirm readiness for the grade applied for; it may be waived with proof of outstanding achievement over the previous two years. Grade reports, a letter of good conduct and identity documents are presented at the school. If space is available, the Admissions Committee generally decides within five working days, and registration is completed at the school.
Requirements
The essentials.
- Entry age
- Pre-K: four years old on or before August 1. Kindergarten: five. First grade: six.
- Academic record
- An 85% composite average with no failing grade in the previous school year, for applicants with prior schooling.
- Conduct
- A letter of good conduct from the previous school.
- Language
- Instruction is in English, but Equity regularly enrolls students with limited English and supports them through EFL and Reading Reinforcement.
- Learning needs
- Small classes let Equity accommodate a range of learning needs, though it is not a special-education school; in general, no more than three students per grade with special learning needs are accepted.
Staying at Equity
Continuance.
Students in Grades 9 through 12 complete seven credits each year. A student whose composite average falls below 85%, or who fails any course in a quarter, is placed on academic probation for the following quarter and must bring their grades back to standard to continue.
Most students on probation who put in the extra effort overcome the deficiency; teachers work closely with them, and with parents, to bring them back on track. Because of the core-subject curriculum and small classes, Equity is also able to accommodate students arriving from gifted-and-talented programs in the United States.
